Makan, an upscale casual Malaysian restaurant downtown, is seeking bartenders and barbacks/SAs to be part of our opening team. Come work with and learn from chef James Wozniuk, a 3-time Michelin Bib Gourmand awarded chef, in a fun and supportive work environment. We are seeking individuals with a great attitude, high energy, and a strong work ethic. Start date is May 26th; opening date is June 4th. Must have flexible availability pre-opening. After opening we will be closed every Sunday-Monday. No lunches, no brunches. Responsibilities: Provide genuine hospitality and service to guests Maintain menu knowledge, general standards, and teamwork Bartender – shape bar guests' experiences, rock it out on service bar SA – food running, bus tables, barback duties Benefits & Compensation: 50% dining discount for friends & family Bartender $300-$400/night ($2.13/hour plus tips) SA $100-150/night ($2.13/hour plus tips)
